Arthritis Australia’s 2007 annual dinner was held at the Taronga Centre on Wednesday 28 March 2007.
The theme of this year’s dinner - surprising Adventures with Arthritis – was chosen to highlight that arthritis doesn’t prevent those living with the condition from having great experiences and adventures.
Blackmores was the evening’s Gold Sponsor.
As guests enjoyed a delicious three course meal accompanied by fine wines, they were surprised and entertained by Aboriginal performers, African drumming group Dagomba, and a group of crazy men dressed as sharks, Chrome.
Keynote speaker Professor John Edmonds acknowledged the importance of working together in order to raise funds for research into musculoskeletal disease.
The evening was a fundraising success thanks to our guests who purchased lots of raffle tickets and bid on some amazing auction items and experiences.
Money raised will assist Arthritis Australia in continuing to raise awareness, delivering education and support services, and providing annual research grants for enabling better understanding of the disease as well as more effective treatments.
In addition to Gold Sponsors Blackmores, Pfizer Australia was the Silver Sponsor and Bronze Sponsors were: Abbott Australasia, Boehringer Ingelheim and Print National.
Auction items and raffle prizes were kindly donated by: The Australian Ballet, Blackmores, Coffee School, Cook + Phillip Park, Darbar Fine Indian Cuisine, Herbie’s Spices, Life & Balance, Mark Sperling, Mercure Sydney, Murdoch Books, Nudie Foods Australia, Orthosports Group, Taronga Zoo, Westfield Bondi Junction and WPS International Motor Festival.
