Arthritis kids camps welcome kids from around Australia
Kids from around the country have participated in recent JIA kids camps run in Northern NSW and the ACT, made possible with funding from the Australian Government for our implementation of the National Strategic Action Plan for Arthritis.
Activities at the camp included a Zip-Line, Z-Ball, Survivor games and puzzles, Archery and Sword Club.
Kids were able to meet and bond with their peers and take part in education session, from mindfulness through music therapy, to school support and a facilitated discussion of shared experiences.
“I learnt that it’s ok to tell people you’re in pain and you need assistance,” said an attendee.
