Grant application key dates.
For the 2026 grant rounds of the National Research Program we have introduced a streamlined Expression of Interest (EOI) process for Project Grants and Grants-in-Aid. Applicants are required to complete an online application, EOI applications close on Friday, 23 May 2025.
Successful applicants from the EOI round will then be invited to submit a full grant application. These applications will open on Tuesday, 24 June 2025 and will close on Friday, 22 August 2025.
Applications for scholarships, fellowships, and the ARA Research Fund/ NZRA Philip Robinson Memorial Award will open on Friday, 11 April 2025 and will close on Friday, 22 August 2025.

Submitting your application
EOI process for Project Grants and Grants-in-Aid.
To submit an EOI application for a Project Grant or Grant-in-Aid, you must complete the online application form. Please ensure you save an offline copy of your full application in case you experience any technical difficulties whilst you are submitting your application.
Applications for Scholarships, Fellowships, and the ARA Research Fund/ NZRA Philip Robinson Memorial Award
To apply for scholarships, fellowships and the ARA Research Fund/NZRA Philip Robinson Memorial Award, please download the relevant form below. Please complete the application form and submit it as an attachment to Arthritis Australia via researchgrants@arthritisaustralia.com.au.
Late or incomplete applications forms will not be accepted.
